Volleyball Recap: Boca Raton Comes Up Short

Boca Raton entered their contest against King's Academy on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bobcats fell 3-1 to the Lions. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Boca Raton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-21.

King's Academy can attribute much of their success to Alanis Molina, who had 11 digs and two aces. Molina has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played. Hunter Saltalamacchia also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Boca Raton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for King's Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Boca Raton will be playing at home against West Boca Raton at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for King's Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Pine Crest at 6:15 p.m. on the 9th.
