Mt. Vernon's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Indy Genesis HomeSchool Indy Genesis onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. That three goal margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Micah Lamberson-Angle scored all three of Mt. Vernon's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.
Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Indy Genesis HomeSchool, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
Mt. Vernon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Boonville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have been evenly matched recently as the teams are 5-5 against one another since September of 2015. As for Indy Genesis HomeSchool, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bethesda Christian at 5:30 p.m. on September 24th.
