It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Watchung Hills Regional ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Immaculata Spartans. The win was just business as usual for the Warriors, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

The team relied heavily on Arianna Hughes, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Simon, who went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.

Watchung Hills Regional kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Immaculata only managed five hits.

Watchung Hills Regional's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Immaculata, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watchung Hills Regional will square off against Roxbury at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Immaculata, they will challenge St. Mary on Saturday.
