 On Friday, Kapaun Mt. Carmel strolled past the Trailblazers with  points to spare, taking the game  56-42. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Kapaun Mt. Carmel.
 Kapaun Mt. Carmel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Lizzie Romer led the charge by  scoring 14 points. Another player making a difference was  McCoy Phister, who  scored 13 points.
 Kapaun Mt. Carmel's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Gardner-Edgerton, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost four of their last five games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
 Kapaun Mt. Carmel won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against the Mavericks on January 27th. Maize South presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Crusaders in Kansas (the Mavericks are ranked 42nd, while the Crusaders are ranked 139th). As for Gardner-Edgerton, they and the Lions will face off  on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
