Basketball Recap: Houston Victorious

Houston won the last time they faced Lanesboro and things went their way on Thursday too. The Houston Hurricanes slipped by the Lanesboro Burros 46-45. The Hurricanes' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Houston's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Yohe, who posted nine points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Aubry Boldt, who earned 11 points and eight rebounds.

Houston has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Lanesboro, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-6.

Houston will take on Waukon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Waukon will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Houston surely won't give up without a fight. Lanesboro has already played their next contest (against Fillmore Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
