Johnsonville was the 17-7 winner over Waccamaw when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Flashes fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday. The Flashes' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jackson Eaddy was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Larkin Powell, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Johnsonville's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Waccamaw, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnsonville will welcome Hemingway at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.2 runs per game on average), something the Flashes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Waccamaw, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dillon at 6:30 p.m. The Warriors are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
