Basketball Recap: Warren Township Comes Up Short

If Warren Township was riding high fresh off their 68-40 takedown of Mundelein last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warren Township Blue Devils fell just short of the Stevenson Patriots by a score of 58-56 on Friday. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 67-51.

Warren Township's loss dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Stevenson, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Warren Township and Stevenson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Warren Township (ranked 37th) will meet Lake Zurich (ranked 151st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren Township will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Stevenson will take on Zion-Benton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 308 places (45 vs. 353).
