Volleyball Game Preview: Pomperaug Panthers vs. Naugatuck Greyhounds + How To Watch

The Pomperaug Panthers will head out to challenge the Naugatuck Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Pomperaug turned things around against Bethel on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wildcats. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Naugatuck and Ansonia, and Naugatuck kept the tradition alive. The Greyhounds were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chargers on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Greyhounds in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won six in a row.

Pomperaug's record is now 6-9. As for Naugatuck, their record now sits at 17-1.

Pomperaug couldn't quite get it done against Naugatuck in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
