Basketball Recap: Sands' Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

Sands lost against Coahoma back in November of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 358th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Sands fell to 6-1. As for Coahoma, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coming up, Sands will challenge Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. As for Coahoma, they will be taking part in a tournament against Eula at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
