On Tuesday, Academy Charter was able to grind out a solid win over Varsity Opponent, taking the game 54-44. That ten points margin sets a new team best for Academy Charter this season.
Joel Beard and Elijah Limehouse were among the main playmakers for Academy Charter as the former dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds and the latter scored ten points along with nine steals. Beard hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Jordyn Maxwell was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Westbury over Academy Charter in every quarter on their way to victory two weeks ago. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Westbury blew Academy Charter out of the water with a 66-39 final score. The win made it back-to-back wins for Westbury.
Academy Charter's win ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11. As for Westbury, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
