Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Charlestown's Third in Last Four Outings

Charlestown had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt O'Bryant on Wednesday. The Townies never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Townies, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Charlestown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for O'Bryant, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charlestown will welcome Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for O'Bryant, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Boston Latin Academy at 3:30 p.m.
