Northridge entered their tilt with New Prairie on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cougars.
Northridge can attribute much of their success to Mya Maurer, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most digs Maurer has posted since back in September.
They weren't the only good servers: Northridge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive matchups.
Despite the loss, New Prairie saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Josie Woodham had ten digs and one assist.
Northridge's record is now 20-6. As for New Prairie, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-14.
