Preview: Barrow Whalers vs. Sitka Wolves
Barrow is 6-1 against Sitka since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Barrow Whalers have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Sitka Wolves on March 1st. Barrow knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Sitka likes a good challenge.

Barrow found their leader in underclassman Jaziah Tivao, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tivao has scored all season. Sasita Unutoa was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sitka faced Mt. Edgecumbe in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Sitka took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Edgecumbe. Sitka has not had much luck with Mt. Edgecumbe recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Barrow is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Sitka, their defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-6.
Barrow strolled past Sitka in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 by a score of 46-29. Will Barrow repeat their success, or does Sitka have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
