Basketball Recap: Tinora Comes Up Short

Tinora and Ottawa Hills squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Tinora had to settle for second. They took a 56-38 bruising from the Ottawa Hills Green Bears.

Ottawa Hills found their leader in freshman Kendell Skiver, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Skiver's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Vanslooten, who went 6-for-11 en route to 17 points and six assists.

Tinora's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Ottawa Hills, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-9.

Tinora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ottawa Hills, they will head out to take on Patrick Henry at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Patrick Henry will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something Ottawa Hills surely won't give up without a fight.
