Preview: North Mason Bulldogs vs. Kingston Buccaneers

The North Mason Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Kingston Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Mason focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday.

North Mason scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They came out on top against LaConner by a score of 82-72. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

It was another big night for Andrew Littrean, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Dunham, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Kingston's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 75-31 loss at the hands of Bremerton. While losing is never fun, Kingston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while Bremerton is ranked 45th).

North Mason's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Kingston, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Everything went North Mason's way against Kingston when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as North Mason made off with a 73-53 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Mason since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
