Basketball Game Preview: Kennedy Cougars vs. Prairie Hawks

Kennedy and Prairie are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. After both having extra time off, both will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Prairie likes a good challenge.

Kennedy took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 91-43 win over Jefferson. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Prairie put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Waterloo West by a score of 52-44.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.3 points. As for Prairie, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Everything came up roses for Kennedy against Prairie when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured an 85-37 victory. Will Kennedy repeat their success, or does Prairie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
