Baseball Recap: Central Christian Takes a Loss

If Central Christian was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Atmore Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saints fell just short of the Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Saints have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Beckett Simpson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Wil Chandler, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Central Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Central Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Rocky Bayou Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
