Basketball Recap: Rio Vista Takes a Loss

Rio Vista lost against Highlands back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rio Vista Rams came up short against the Highlands Scots, falling 76-50.

Despite the loss, Rio Vista still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Holley, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Holley's 11th in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Luke Fortes, who posted 12 points.

Rio Vista's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Highlands, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rio Vista will head out to challenge Woodland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highlands, they will challenge Vacaville Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Vacaville Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
