Basketball Recap: Southwest's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Southwest posted their biggest victory since December 28, 2024 on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 57-24 win over the Edison Red Raiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-37 back in December of 2024.

Edison's loss came despite strong showings from Jean Viterlens Joseph and Lucas Reynolds. Joseph posted four points and seven rebounds, while Reynolds had six points.

Southwest's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-11. As for Edison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Southwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-53 defeat against St. Brendan on the 27th. Edison has also already played their next matchup, a 72-30 win against MAST Academy on the 28th.
