Mckayla Hranicky didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her fifth in a row with less than one earned run. On the year, she has been strong no matter where she plays. On the mound, she has an ERA of 2.76 over 45.7 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat she has slashed 0.449/0.500/0.633 with 24 runs, plus 12 stolen bases.

Hranicky's strong effort led Port Neches-Groves over Kingwood Park and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
