Basketball Recap: Little Wound Victorious

On Saturday, the Little Wound Mustangs didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers, but they still walked away with a 70-65 victory.

Little Wound's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Lead-Deadwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Little Wound will venture away from home to square off against Lower Brule at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Lower Brule knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Little Wound likes a good challenge. As for Lead-Deadwood, they will head out to take on Custer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
