Volleyball Game Preview: Union Mine Diamondbacks vs. Argonaut Mustangs + How To Watch

Union Mine has gone a perfect 7-0 against Argonaut recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Diamondbacks will square off against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Union Mine will be strutting in after a victory while Argonaut will be coming in after a defeat.

Union Mine extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Allison Eschleman. The Diamondbacks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Liberty Ranch on Tuesday for which the team can thank Eschleman, who had 11 kills, ten digs, and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted six or more kills the last three times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Union Mine was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Argonaut suffered their biggest loss since September 11th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to El Dorado. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 25-17.

Union Mine's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Argonaut, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.

Union Mine took their victory against Argonaut when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Diamondbacks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
