Basketball Recap: Madison County Mountaineers vs. Luray Bulldogs
Madison County won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They had to suffer through a 61-20 loss at the hands of the Luray Bulldogs. The Mountaineers lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-40 score last time.
Madison County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gracie Woodward, who posted three points and ten rebounds. Woodward has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ayana Green, who earned four points and eight rebounds.
