Landon Ward Has Career Rushing Day

Starting off the list is Willcox's Landon Ward, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Ward made three total tackles and defended four passes, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 58 yards.

Willcox has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Ward and Willcox will square off against Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sebastian Lopez was instrumental in extending Bisbee's winning streak to five on Friday. Lopez turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 255 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 40 yards. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble, making eight total tackles, and defending three passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Benson's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Davis and Benson have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Willcox at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
