Landon Ward Has Career Rushing Day

Starting off the list is Willcox's Landon Ward, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Ward made three total tackles and defended four passes, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 58 yards.

Willcox has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Ward and Willcox will square off against Benson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lopez Made His Presence Known in Bisbee's 35-21 Victory

Sebastian Lopez was instrumental in extending Bisbee's winning streak to five on Friday. Lopez turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 255 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes, while also rushing for 40 yards. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble, making eight total tackles, and defending three passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Lopez and Bisbee will head out to challenge Tombstone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Lopez took on the Yellow Jackets, he threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 50 yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Flint Davis Delivers Electric Effort Vs Catalina

Benson picked up their third consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Flint Davis. Davis turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Benson's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Davis and Benson have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Willcox at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tombstone Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Jmiah Wallis

Jmiah Wallis was instrumental in extending Tombstone's winning streak to three on Friday. Wallis was dynamite, rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 85 yards.

Tombstone's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Wallis and Tombstone will face off against Bisbee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

DJ Elias Delivers Best Performance of Season

On Friday, Tombstone got the W thanks in part to DJ Elias playing the best football he has all season. Elias rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 81 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards.

This year, Elias has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 118 passing yards per game.
