Goodpasture Christian's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past East Robertson 8-0. Reece Rector was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Springfield's offense. They fell just short of Macon County by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Goodpasture Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those three games. As for Springfield, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
