Basketball Game Preview: North Greene Huskies vs. South Greene Rebels

An exciting North v. South battle is about to be fought. The North Greene Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Greene Rebels at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Greene will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, North Greene was able to grind out a solid win over Hancock County, taking the game 55-45. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Indians are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Greene has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They had to suffer through a 76-41 loss at the hands of Dobyns-Bennett. The game marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

North Greene pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.1 points over those games. As for South Greene, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.

North Greene won a contest that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2024, slipping by South Greene 53-52. Will North Greene repeat their success, or does South Greene have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
