Giles waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Galax Maroon Tide by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on Friday.

Kerrigan Mitcham and Ada Steele scored all three of Giles' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Giles now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Galax, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8-1.

Coming up, Giles will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Fort Chiswell at 5:30 p.m. Giles will be up against Fort Chiswell's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Galax, they will head out to face off against Bland County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
