First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. Everything went their way against Hampton Park Christian as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Crusaders as they're now sitting on 26 straight dating back to last season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-8, 25-9.

Carter Stephen paced First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest's offense, picking up nine kills. Stephen got some help from Kaya Thompson and her 18 assists. Peyton Thompson controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Cambridge Academy on the 19th. As for Hampton Park Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Asheville School (Independent) at 3:15 p.m. on September 12.
