Preview: Midfield Patriots vs. Indian Springs Student

Midfield is 10-0 against Indian Springs since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Midfield Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Indian Springs Student at 6:30 p.m. Midfield is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.

Midfield pushed their score all the way to 76 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Wenonah 82-76.

Midfield's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaron Adams-Martin, who scored 31 points along with 6 rebounds, and Armonie Franklin who scored 16 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds. Franklin is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Doniven Wilson, who scored 8 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals.

Meanwhile, Indian Springs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They managed a 53-48 win over Childersburg.

The losses dropped Midfield to 5-4 and Wenonah to 5-5.

Midfield took their victory against Indian Springs in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 75-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
