Baseball Recap: Brimley Takes a Loss

Brimley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the Rudyard Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bays of the 9-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Cooper Jones made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Lynn, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Brimley's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Rudyard, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Looking ahead, Brimley will be playing in front of their home fans against Pellston at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rudyard, they will take on Manistique at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
