Basketball Recap: Pettus Eagles vs. Runge Yellowjackets
The Pettus Eagles can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 72-25 win over Runge on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-16.
Pettus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathan Orr led the charge by scoring 23 points. Another player making a difference was Ramon Reyna, who scored 18 points.
Pettus' win bumped their record up to 8-17. As for Runge, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Pettus will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. Prairie Lea is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Runge, they will head out on the road to take on the Redfish at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Austwell-Tivoli has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 259 points over their last four matchups.
