Basketball Recap: Northampton Takes a Loss

Northampton lost against Central last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Northampton Blue Devils came up short against the Central Golden Eagles, falling 52-29.

Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Angela Hector led the charge by putting up 11 points along with six boards and three blocks. That's the most blocks Hector has posted since back in March of 2024. Giavanna Mars was another key player, posting nine points and four steals.

Northampton's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Central, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Coming up, Northampton will square off against Reading Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
