Football Game Preview: Wayne County vs. Clay County

Clay County have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Wayne County on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. Clay County are the clear underdogs, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one.

Clay County suffered a grim 14-41 defeat to Perry County Central two weeks ago. Clay County were down by 14-34 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, after having lost a blowout to Boyle County in their previous matchup, Wayne County were happy to find some success last Friday. Wayne County blew past Harlan County 40-12.

Wayne County's victory lifted them to 3-2 while Clay County's defeat dropped them down to 1-3. We'll see if Wayne County's success rolls on or if Clay County are able to steal their positive momentum.
