After a string of four wins, St. Martin's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrison Central Red Rebels. If the Yellow Jackets were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Red Rebels when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kiyara Lee was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Mia Boney, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one triple.

St. Martin's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-7. As for Harrison Central, their record is now 8-12.

Coming up, St. Martin will welcome Gulfport at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gulfport will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something St. Martin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Harrison Central, they will head out to square off against Pearl River Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
