Football Recap: Oxbridge Academy Falls to Victory Christian Academy in First Game of Season

Oxbridge Academy had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Victory Christian Academy Storm and fell 48-6. The ThunderWolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-6.

Victory Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cru Slocum out in front who threw for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Another rusher making a difference was Preston Coney, who rushed for 96 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Looking ahead, Oxbridge Academy will face off against Jupiter Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Victory Christian Academy, they will take on Moore Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 884 yards in their previous games.
