Soccer Recap: Northridge Takes a Loss

Northridge and East squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Northridge had to settle for second. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Leopards who were credited with the victory. The East Leopards got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Northridge Knights' four. While losing is never fun, Northridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 34th, while East are ranked fourth).

With the loss, Northridge broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-6. As for East, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-2.

Northridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East, they will take on Wasatch at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Wasatch will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something East surely won't give up without a fight.
