Baseball Recap: Walnut Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Walnut and New Site have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. Walnut lost 10-0 to New Site. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-5 last Tuesday.

Walnut's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for New Site, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Walnut didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Alcorn Central on the 29th. As for New Site, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-6 victory against Mantachie on the 29th.
