Devon Tomlinson and Dan Tomlinson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Conemaugh Township. The connection went for 71 yards, the longest such play in Western Pennsylvania [WPAC] this season.
North Star moved up to 358 from 391 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Shade 12-0.
Kody Ofsanko was a force in the backfield as the Indians fell to Windber.
Ofsanko was a passing and rushing force as Conemaugh Township fell to the Ramblers. Ofsanko's favorite target this week was Luke Maurer, who caught 2 passes for 27 yards.
Tomlinson threw for 180 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 6-8 with 0 interceptions.
Ofsanko was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 240 yards on 33 carries as Sam Zambanini's team topped Sam Zambanini's team. Teammate Austin Myers added to the ground attack by rushing for 77 yards.
Leading Western Pennsylvania [WPAC] in both passing and receiving yards, Matt Grohal's team's Tomlinson and Matt Barkley have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-10 quarterback Tomlinson has thrown for 821 yards this season, while Barkley has 30 catches for 526 yards. Braden Fochtman from Berlin Brothersvalley leads the league in rushing with 1,142 yards.
The Mountaineers are in first place, while the Panthers are in sixth place.
Berlin Brothersvalley added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Northern Cambria, 53-6. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
