Basketball Recap: Jones Comes Up Short

Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a blow against the Northside - Pinetown Panthers, falling 65-25. If the Trojans were looking for revenge after losing 70-29 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jones' defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Northside - Pinetown, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jones has already played their next contest (against Pamlico County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northside - Pinetown will head out on the road to face off against Lejeune at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northside - Pinetown is facing Lejeune at the right time seeing as Lejeune is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
