Carson is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Salpointe Catholic. Neither Carson nor Salpointe Catholic could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 tie. The contest marked the Colts' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Giselle Pantoja spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.

With that tie, Carson's record moves to 11-0-1. As for Salpointe Catholic, they moved theirs to 10-3-1.

Looking ahead, Carson will head out on the road to face off against Rancho Dominguez at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Carson their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Salpointe Catholic, they will host Walden Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
