Basketball Game Preview: Freeland Falcons vs. Bridgeport Bearcats

The Freeland Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Bridgeport Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Freeland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.

Freeland is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Glenn just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 70-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 18-10 in the first quarter.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Tristan Comer, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Hileman, who posted 12 points and seven assists.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 49-35 fall against Garber. The game marked the Bearcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Freeland's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Bridgeport, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Everything came up roses for Freeland against Bridgeport in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 61-31 win. Will Freeland repeat their success, or does Bridgeport have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
