Volleyball Recap: Cabrillo's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Cabrillo had won three straight games and Marie Terrones did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Conquistadores blew past the Pioneer Valley Panthers 3-0 thanks in part to Terrones, who had 13 digs and six aces. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cabrillo took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10, 25-10.

Cabrillo's victory bumped their record up to 16-14-1. As for Pioneer Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cabrillo is set to challenge their familiar foe Santa Maria at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pioneer Valley will face off against rival Righetti at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
