Basketball Recap: Lyman Greyhounds vs. St. Cloud Bulldogs
In Saturday's Canine Competition, Lyman had to take the L. They were dealt a 66-31 loss at the hands of the St. Cloud Bulldogs on Saturday. The Greyhounds just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row.
Kameron Mccall and Damir Carter certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Mccall posted 12 points and six rebounds, while Carter earned four points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Cloud to victory, but perhaps none more so than Diomar Ortiz, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 11 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Malaki Baker, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points along with five boards and three steals.
Lyman's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for St. Cloud, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.
Lyman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-43 victory against Circle Christian on the 7th. As for St. Cloud, they will square off against Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Cloud is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.4 points per game this season.
