Volleyball Recap: Scottsboro Takes a Loss

Scottsboro came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Guntersville, falling 3-0. If Scottsboro was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Guntersville when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Scottsboro was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Guntersville's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-11, 25-16.

Scottsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Guntersville, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 39-4.

Looking ahead, Scottsboro will head out on the road to take on Arab at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Guntersville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Fyffe on the 26th.
