Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Winnsboro

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lone Oak, Winnsboro was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Prairiland Patriots by a score of 7-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Raiders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Winnsboro's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Prairiland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Coincidentally, Winnsboro and Prairiland will both be playing Mount Vernon the next time they take the field. Prairiland will host Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Winnsboro will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
