Basketball Game Preview: Campbell County Cougars vs. Halls Red Devils

The Campbell County Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Halls Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Campbell County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Monday with ease, bagging a 91-35 win over Varsity Opponent. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Halls waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 60-51. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Eagles are ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Campbell County's win bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Halls, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Everything came up roses for Campbell County against Halls in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as the squad secured an 82-54 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campbell County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
