Basketball Game Preview: A.C. Flora Falcons vs. Lancaster Bruins

The A.C. Flora Falcons will take on the Lancaster Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

A.C. Flora is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 57-30 victory over Fountain Inn. The win was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, Lancaster waltzed into their game on Monday with 17 straight wins... but they left with 18. They claimed a resounding 99-51 victory over the Vikings. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Vikings are ranked 187th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

A.C. Flora better focus on containing Jordan Watford and Columbus Parker as the pair were huge in Lancaster's win. Watford went 10-for-16 on his way to 23 points in addition to eight rebounds and three blocks, while Parker went 8-for-15 en route to 23 points and six boards. Parker continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Rj Brown was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven assists and four steals.

Lancaster was working as a unit and finished the game with 29 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Lancaster's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-1. As for A.C. Flora, their record now sits at 15-10.

A.C. Flora came up short against Lancaster in their previous meeting back in January, falling 56-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Watford, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. Now that A.C.
