Basketball Game Preview: Centennial Knights vs. Jasper County Hurricanes

The Centennial Knights and the Jasper County Hurricanes will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with 11 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Centennial turned things around against Alpharetta on Saturday. They blew past the Raiders 48-24. The Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Tori Ambroselli went supernova for Centennial, going 11 for 18 on her way to 31 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Desiree Stamps, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Jasper County hadn't done well against Jackson recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Jasper County enjoyed a cozy 51-35 victory over Jackson. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

Centennial's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Jasper County, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
