Softball Recap: Rialto's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Rialto had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt San Gorgonio on Wednesday. The Knights put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 11-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on April 11th.

Rylee Estrada spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Milenni Rodriguez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Johanna Zamano was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs.

Rialto was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Rialto's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14. As for San Gorgonio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13-1.

Rialto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Gorgonio, they will take on Bloomington at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are facing the Bruins at the right time seeing as the Bruins are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
