Recap: Big Sandy Red Devils vs. Gleason Bulldogs
After flying high against the Lewis County Panthers last Thursday, the Big Sandy Red Devils came back down to earth. Big Sandy had to suffer through a rough 88-57 loss at the hands of Gleason. Big Sandy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gleason apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Seth Green, who scored 15 points. The matchup was Green's third in a row with at least ten points. Garrett Cagle was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
Big Sandy bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Gleason, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Big Sandy will be playing at home against McEwen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gleason, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenfield is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
